Why Choose ElecTrain?
Electrain is proud to have a wealth of experience to be able to draw from amongst it’s instructors and consultants. With a foundation built on several years working on Nuclear Submarines, Commercial Nuclear Power, and many Department of Energy Facilities and Laboratories, we have encountered and worked with almost every known type of electrical hazard. This experience is why we were first brought into the EV industry to assist the North American Market to establish best safety practices and develop our initial standards in this industry.
Since then, ElecTrain has expanded is customer base in High Voltage Batteries and Electric Vehicles to include:
- Battery Manufacturing
- Vehicle Design and Manufacturing
- Electric Vehicle/Hybrid/Fuel Cell Service
- Industrial Heavy Equipment Electric Vehicles
- Electric and Hybrid Race Cars
- Electric Transit Busses
- Electric Off-Road Vehicles
- EV Charging Station Installation
- Battery Testing Facilities
- EV Component Manufacturers
- First Responders to EV Accidents
Our instructors have supported creating new EV Safety and Risk Assessment Standards for North America. Currently, acting as the working group lead for such a document through IEEE that is anticipated to be approved and published in 18-24 months. Additionally, we’ve supported other similar standards to be incorporated internationally, such as providing support to new annex information that may be included in upcoming editions of the Canadian Standard, CSA Z462. We also continue to support other electrical safety organizations such as EFCOG and NFPA 70E to ensure they stay up to date with the latest hazard information and best practices to mitigate those hazards.

Very good instructor, Andrew knows his stuff and is very good at communicating it. Not too rough with how he instructs and keeps it interactive.

I liked the combo of ‘in class’ and ‘hands on’ training. Also, the addition of other systems from his personal experience that are different from our own.
